Three ways to do the outside
If the cabin is fine and the outside needs help, book an exterior-only detail. Each level builds on the last:
- Exterior Refresh, $129: pre-rinse, foam cannon, hand wash, air and towel dry, rim and tire detail and tire shine
- Exterior Renew, $155: everything in Refresh, plus bug removal, clay bar, trim and plastic shine and wax
- Exterior Reshine, $399: everything in Renew, plus a one-step machine polish and a wax buff
Why the way we wash matters
Most swirl marks don’t come from age. They come from washing. Brushes at a tunnel wash and a dirty sponge at home drag grit across the paint and leave fine scratches. Over time, those scratches make the color look dull.
We start with a rinse and a thick layer of foam that softens dirt and lets it slide off before we touch the car. Then we hand wash with clean mitts and dry with air and soft towels. It takes longer. It’s also how you keep paint looking new. Wheels get their own brushes and mitts, so brake dust never ends up on the paint.
Drying matters as much as washing. Air dried water can leave spots, and rough towels can scratch. We blow water out of mirrors, grilles and door gaps first, so it doesn’t drip down the sides later, then finish with soft, clean towels.
