Boat Detailing
in Roseville, CA

Folsom Lake is a short drive from most of Roseville, and a lot of local boats spend summer weekends there. We wash, polish and protect your boat in your driveway, in a storage lot or on the trailer, so it’s clean and ready for the next trip.

Roseville boats, Folsom Lake days

For many Roseville and Granite Bay boaters, a lake day means hitching up and heading to Folsom Lake. It’s close enough for a quick weekend run. That’s great for time on the water, and hard on the boat. Lake film, sunscreen, wet shoes and spilled drinks pile up trip after trip.

We clean the boat between those trips, so you’re not spending Sunday night scrubbing it in the driveway. Before you head out, it’s also worth checking current launch and safety rules with the California Division of Boating and Waterways.

Where we can do the work

Most Roseville boats live in one of three places, and we can work at all of them:

  • Your driveway or side yard, on the trailer
  • A storage lot that allows outside service
  • Your garage, if there’s room to walk around the boat

Our process

Trailer to rails, ready to launch.

A boat that gets cleaned between lake weekends holds up much better than one cleaned once a year.

01

Photos and plan

You send the length, type and a few photos. We agree on the work and the price.

02

Trailer and hull

We wash the trailer and the hull together, including the waterline.

03

Deck and topsides

Deck, rails and topsides get a hand wash and a careful rinse.

04

Polish and wax

If you chose it, we polish oxidized gelcoat and wax the hull.

05

Seats and metal

Vinyl, console and cushions are cleaned, and rails and cleats are polished.

Many HOA neighborhoods limit how long a boat can sit in the driveway. If yours does, we can plan the job for the day you bring it home or the day before a trip. At a storage lot, please check the lot’s rules first and give us the lot name and space number. On the trailer is usually best, because we can reach the whole hull.

We work on the kinds of boats Roseville families tow to the lake: ski and wake boats, bowriders, pontoons, fishing boats and small cruisers. Tell us the length and type when you reach out. If the boat is kept in the water at a slip, ask us first, since access and marina rules vary from place to place.

What a boat detail can include

We plan each job around the boat’s size, type and condition. Work we can include:

  • Hand washing the hull, deck and topsides
  • Lifting the waterline stain and lake film
  • Polishing chalky gelcoat and applying wax
  • Cleaning vinyl seats, cushions and the console
  • Light mildew cleaning on seats and carpet
  • Polishing metal rails, cleats and fittings
  • Washing the trailer, including the fenders and frame we can reach

Sun and heat while the boat sits

Roseville summers are hot and bright, and a boat parked uncovered in a driveway or open storage lot takes that sun all week. Gelcoat slowly oxidizes and turns chalky. Colored stripes fade. Vinyl seats get stiff and sticky when sunscreen and body oil bake into them.

A clean, waxed hull holds up longer, and so does vinyl that gets cleaned instead of left coated in sunscreen. A good cover between trips makes a big difference too, as long as everything is dry before it goes on.

Metal needs care as well. Rails, cleats and fittings pick up water spots and dull film from lake water and sun. Polished metal looks sharp, and it’s easier to keep clean through the season.

What we can and can’t promise

Light to moderate oxidation usually polishes out well. Gelcoat that has been chalky for many years can improve a lot, but some boats won’t look new again, because there’s only so much good gelcoat left. Faded graphics and cracked vinyl can’t be restored by cleaning.

Light mildew spots often clean up. Dark spots that have soaked deep into vinyl or stitching may lighten but stay visible. We’ll tell you what we expect before we start.

Cleaning also isn’t a repair. If we spot a cracked seat, loose hardware or damage to the hull while we work, we’ll point it out so you can have it looked at before the next trip.

How boat quotes work

Every boat is quoted, because size, type and condition vary so much. Send us the length, the type of boat and clear photos of the hull, deck and seats, plus where the boat is kept. Tell us if you want a wash only, or a polish and wax too. We’ll give you a price before we book the job.

Timing matters too. Spring and early summer fill up fast with boaters getting ready for the lake. If you want your boat done before a certain weekend, reach out a few weeks early so we can fit it in.

FAQ

Boat Detailing questions

What does boat detailing cost in Roseville?

Boat work is quoted. The price depends on length, type, condition and whether you want polishing. Photos help us give you a quick quote.

Can you clean my boat in my HOA driveway?

Usually yes, as long as your HOA allows it for the day. We bring our own water and power and keep the setup tidy.

Do you clean the trailer too?

Yes. Trailer washing can be part of the job. Just let us know when you ask for a quote.

Can you work at the lake?

Only where the marina or storage area allows outside service. For most Roseville boaters, the driveway or storage lot is easier.

When should I book?

Spring, before the first launch, and fall, before the boat is stored, are the most popular times. A mid-summer clean helps if you go out most weekends.
