Aircraft detailing near Folsom

Most of our work is on cars, RVs and boats, but we also detail aircraft. The same trained team, the same careful methods, applied to paint, windows and cabins that need even more care.

We work on single and twin piston planes, turboprops, light and mid-size business jets, and helicopters. Every job is done where the aircraft is based, in your hangar or at your tie-down, as long as the airport allows outside service.

What we can do

We plan each aircraft around its size, its condition and how you use it. Common work includes:

  • Exterior wash of the fuselage, wings, tail and belly
  • Removing bugs from leading edges, windshields and props
  • Cleaning exhaust residue and oil streaks off the belly
  • Paint polishing to reduce oxidation and bring back gloss
  • Wax, sealant or ceramic coating to protect the paint
  • Cabin cleaning: carpets, seats, leather, panels and windows

Our process

Nose to tail.

Clean paint is easier to inspect, lasts longer and looks right on the ramp.

Airports we come to

From our Folsom base we can reach the airports east of Sacramento quickly, including:

  • Cameron Park Airport
  • Placerville Airport
  • Mather Airport
  • Sacramento Executive Airport

Foothill flying is hard on paint

Planes based in the foothills sit in strong sun for most of the year. Summer heat bakes bugs onto leading edges, and dust from dry fields settles on everything parked outside. Paint that is left like that fades and chalks faster, and the grime gets harder to remove the longer it sits.

A regular wash keeps that build-up down. A polish and a layer of wax or ceramic coating once or twice a year helps the paint keep its color and makes the next wash quicker.

Careful around the parts that matter

An aircraft is not a car. We work by hand, keep water pressure low and stay clear of the areas that should not get wet or polished, such as pitot tubes, static ports, vents and antennas. Plastic windows scratch easily, so we clean them with soft towels and products made for them, not glass cleaner.

If anything looks like a maintenance issue while we work, like a new oil leak or a loose panel, we point it out to you. We clean and protect; your mechanic handles the rest.

How aircraft pricing works

Every aircraft job is quoted. A few photos and the make and model are usually enough for a price. What sets it:

  • Size and type of aircraft
  • Wash only, or polish, wax or ceramic coating too
  • How much oxidation, bug and exhaust build-up there is
  • Interior condition and what you want cleaned inside
  • Where the aircraft is based and how we get access

Pricing

Aircraft Detailing prices

Aircraft work is quoted by size, condition and the services you choose. Send a few photos for a fast price.

Sedan pricing. SUVs, trucks and larger vehicles are priced by size; custom jobs are quoted.

Good to know: Before any work at an airport, it helps to know its rules and services. The FAA lists every public airport in its airport data and information portal.

FAQ

Aircraft Detailing questions

How much does aircraft detailing cost?

Every aircraft is quoted. The price depends on the size, the condition and whether you want a wash only or polish and protection too. Photos help us quote quickly.

What kinds of aircraft do you detail?

Single and twin piston planes, turboprops, light and mid-size business jets, and helicopters.

Do you come to the airport?

Yes. We come to your hangar or tie-down at local airports that allow outside service. Tell us where the aircraft is based when you ask for a quote.

Can you put a ceramic coating on an aircraft?

Yes. A ceramic coating helps protect the paint and makes bugs and exhaust easier to wash off. We quote it with the polish the paint needs first.

Do you only work at Folsom-area airports?

No. We go to airports across the greater Sacramento region and up to Placerville. Tell us where the aircraft is based and we’ll confirm.
