The commuter’s cabin
If you drive into downtown on I-5 or Business 80 every day, your car is part office and part kitchen. Coffee drips on the console. Lunch crumbs fall into the seat tracks. Dust settles on the dash and gets ground into the steering wheel by your hands.
We clean the places that build up most: cup holders, door pockets, seat rails, vents, buttons and the wheel. Steam helps lift grime from tight spots and textured plastic without soaking it. Then we clean the glass inside so the morning sun doesn’t turn a hazy windshield into glare.
Floor mats come out and get cleaned on their own, since they hold most of the dirt you track in. The driver’s side always gets the most wear, so we give it extra time.
What the City of Trees brings inside
Park on a leafy street in Land Park or East Sacramento and the outside isn’t the only thing that gets messy. Leaves, seed pods and pollen blow in when the doors open and get tracked onto the floor mats. In fall, wet leaves stick to shoes and stain light carpet.
Pollen is fine and gets into the vents and fabric. A deep vacuum and a wipe of every surface remove most of it. The shampoo and extraction in Renew pull it out of the carpet and seats instead of pushing it deeper.
That makes late fall a smart time for an interior detail. Once most of the leaves are down, one deep clean gives the cabin a fresh start for winter.
Summer heat and your cabin
Sacramento summers are long and hot, and a closed car parked in the sun gets far hotter than the air outside. That heat dries out leather and makes it crack. It fades and warps dash plastic. It also makes old spills smell stronger.
Renew includes leather and plastic conditioning, which puts back some of what the heat takes out. A sunshade for the windshield helps a lot between visits. If a smell stays after cleaning, our odor bomb add-on treats the air system and cabin.
Heat also helps a film build up on the inside of the windshield. That haze is worst when you drive into a low sun on US-50 or I-80. A full window detail clears it.
Honest limits
Most food, drink and dirt stains come out or fade a lot with shampoo and extraction. Old, set-in stains and dye transfer may only lighten. Very heavy soiling takes more time and is a $100 add-on. Heavy pet hair woven into the carpet is $100 per hour. We’ll tell you what to expect before we start, not after.
If you have kids’ car seats, it helps to take them out before we arrive. Most of the crumbs end up in the seat and carpet underneath, and we want to reach them. Tell us about any smell or stain when you book, so we plan enough time.
Want the outside done too? See our full detailing packages, which cover the paint and the interior in one visit.
