Interior Detailing
in South Lake Tahoe, CA

Ski boots, wet dogs, sandy beach towels and mud from the trail all end up inside your car in Tahoe. Our interior detail cleans it out at your home, cabin or rental.

Two interior options

Pick the one that fits how the car looks today:

Both clean the whole cabin, front to back. Photos of the floors and seats help us point you to the right one.

  • Interior Refresh ($129): full vacuum, wipedown of all hard surfaces and clean windows inside.
  • Interior Renew ($299): carpet and seat shampoo and extraction, steam cleaning, a deep clean of every surface, leather and plastic conditioning, and a detailed window clean.

Add-ons cover the extra-messy jobs. Pet hair removal and excess soiling or stains are $100 each, shampooing on its own is $100, and an odor bomb is $99.

We’ll let you know before we start if we think one is needed, so there are no surprises.

Our process

Snow, sand and dog hair out the door.

Mountain life is messy. The inside of your car shouldn’t have to stay that way.

01

Clear out

We remove mats and loose items and check for stains, salt lines and pet hair.

02

Blow out and vacuum

Compressed air and brushes lift dust and sand from vents and seams, then a full vacuum.

03

Shampoo and steam

On the Renew, carpets and seats are shampooed and extracted, and tight spots are steamed.

04

Wipe and condition

Hard surfaces are wiped down, and leather and plastic are conditioned on the Renew.

05

Glass and finish

Inside glass is cleaned, mats go back in, and we send photos if you’re away.

Winter brings it inside

In a South Lake Tahoe winter, snow melts off your boots and onto the floor. It carries sand and road de-icer with it. When that water dries, it leaves white, crusty rings on the carpet and floor mats. Over a season, it builds up into the fibers.

Sand also works into seat rails and seat belt slots, where it is hard to reach. Rubber floor mats help a lot, and they’re worth getting before the snow comes.

Shampoo and extraction in the Interior Renew break down that buildup and pull it out. Most salt lines come out or fade a lot. Very old stains that have been there for several winters may only lighten.

Wet gear is the other issue. Damp ski gear and jackets sitting in a closed car can leave a musty smell. If you notice it, tell us. We can look and let you know what we think will help.

Heaters running all winter dry out leather and plastic, and conditioning on the Renew helps keep them from cracking. Mold is a separate job: if you see spots of mold, tell us when you book so we can look and quote it.

Summer: dust, sand and dogs

Summer in Tahoe means trailheads, beaches and dirt roads. Fine dust gets into vents, seams and door pockets. Beach sand sinks into the carpet. And a lot of Tahoe cars carry a dog or two, with hair woven into every seat.

We use compressed air, brushes and strong vacuums to pull that out. Then we wipe and condition the surfaces. The strong high-altitude sun is also tough on dashboards and leather, so conditioning helps slow drying and fading.

Dog owners know the feeling: after a day at the beach, the back seat is a mix of hair, sand and wet-dog smell. Our pet hair tools pull out hair that a vacuum alone leaves behind. Bug spray and sticky drink spills come off hard surfaces with the right cleaner.

For rentals and second homes

Many cars in Tahoe belong to second-home owners or are kept for guests. If you’re not in town, we can still clean the car. Just let us know where it is and how to get in. We’ll send photos when we’re done.

If guests use the car, a clean between stays keeps it ready for the next group. Some owners book us at the start and end of each season.

We serve South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Keys, Meyers and Stateline, 7 days a week from 6 AM to 11 PM.

Gear haulers

In Tahoe, the cargo area often works harder than the seats. Skis, snowboards, bikes, kayaks, coolers and firewood all ride in the back. They leave scuffs on plastic, dirt in the carpet, and bark and pine needles in every corner.

We clean cargo carpet the same way as the floors: vacuum first, then shampoo and extraction on the Renew. Plastic trim and seat backs get wiped down, and rubber cargo liners come out and get scrubbed. Ski wax on carpet may not come out fully, but it usually lightens a lot.

If the back of the car smells like wet gear or old firewood, a deep clean usually helps. For stronger smells, our odor bomb add-on is an option.

Pricing

Interior Detailing prices

Prices are for a sedan. Larger SUVs with a third row cost more, and heavy salt stains, pet hair or odors may need an add-on, which we confirm first.

FAQ

Interior Detailing questions

Can you remove salt stains from my carpet?

Most salt and de-icer stains come out or fade a lot with shampoo and extraction. Very old buildup may only lighten.

How long does it take to dry?

Usually a few hours after shampoo. In cold weather it can take longer, so a garage or a sunny spot helps.

Can you get dog hair out?

Yes. Heavy pet hair takes extra time, which our $100 pet hair removal add-on covers.

Do I need to be at the cabin?

No. Just tell us where the car is and how to access it. We’ll send photos when the job is done.

Can you get rid of a musty smell?

Often, yes, by finding and cleaning the source. Some smells take more than one treatment, and we’ll tell you what to expect.
