Mobile Detailing
in South Lake Tahoe, CA

Mountain roads, de-icer, pine sap and dust are hard on a car. We bring a full detail to your home, cabin or rental in South Lake Tahoe, with our own water and power, whether you’re in town or not.

Detailing at your Tahoe home or cabin

Up here, it’s easier to have the detail come to you than to drive the car somewhere. Our vans carry filtered water, power and all the tools, so we can work in your driveway, garage or a parking spot near your cabin.

A lot of homes here are second homes or rentals. If you’re back in the Bay Area or Sacramento during the week, we can detail the car that stays at the cabin. You don’t have to be there. We just need to know where it is and how to get in.

We also detail cars kept for guests at vacation rentals, so they’re clean for the next arrival. We work on cars, SUVs, trucks and vans.

Our three packages

Choose by how much the car needs:

All-wheel-drive SUVs and trucks are common in the mountains, and they are priced by size.

  • Renew Full Detail ($395, about 4 hours): the Refresh plus bug removal, clay bar, trim shine and wax, carpet and seat shampoo and extraction, steam cleaning and conditioning.
  • Reshine Detail ($599, about 6 hours): everything in the Renew plus a step-one paint correction.

Winter: sand, de-icer and slush

South Lake Tahoe sits at about 6,200 feet and gets real winters. Roads are treated with sand and de-icer, and it sprays up onto the lower doors, rocker panels, wheels and underside of the car. Left alone, that grime dulls the paint and sits on metal parts all season.

Inside, ski boots bring in snow, sand and salty slush. It soaks into the carpet and leaves white stains on the mats. A Renew detail with shampoo and extraction pulls a lot of that out. Some old salt stains may only lighten, and we’ll tell you if we think so.

Headlights take a beating from sand on winter roads and turn cloudy over time. Our headlight restoration add-on ($75) can clear them up.

We work in winter whenever the weather lets us. A garage helps a lot when it’s cold. If a storm rolls in, we’ll move your visit.

We bring our own water, so a frozen hose bib at the cabin isn’t a problem.

Summer: sun, dust and pine sap

Summer brings a different mess. Dry trails and dirt roads put fine dust on everything. Pines drip sap onto cars parked under them, and spring pollen leaves a yellow film. At this altitude the sun is strong, and it fades paint and trim faster than at sea level.

Dust also comes in through open windows and on hiking gear, and the interior part of every package takes care of it. Water spots form fast in the bright sun, so we always dry by hand and with filtered air.

Fresh sap usually comes off in a normal detail. Old, hardened sap takes more time, which is what our $100 extra contaminants add-on covers. For longer protection, ask about a ceramic coating.

Where we go

We serve South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Keys, Meyers and Stateline. We’re open 7 days a week from 6 AM to 11 PM. If you have more than one vehicle at the property, we can do them on the same visit.

Vacation-home owners often book a detail for the start or end of a stay, so the car is clean for the drive home.

Keeping it clean between visits

In winter, rinse the lower panels and wheels after storms when you can, at a self-serve bay or with a hose on a day above freezing. That keeps de-icer from building up. Rubber floor mats catch most of the slush and are easy to clean.

In summer, park out from under pine trees when you can, and get sap and bird droppings off within a few days. If you’d rather not think about it, we can come back on a regular schedule.

FAQ

Mobile Detailing questions

Do you detail cars in the winter?

Yes, when the weather allows. A garage makes winter work much easier. If a storm hits, we’ll reschedule with you.

Can you detail my car if I’m not in Tahoe?

Yes. Many of our Tahoe clients own second homes or rentals. Tell us where the car is and how to access it, and we’ll send photos when it’s done.

Do you clean the underside of the car?

We rinse the lower panels, wheel wells and as much of the underside as we can reach from the side. We don’t lift the car.

Can you remove pine sap?

Fresh sap usually comes right off. Hardened sap takes longer and may need the extra contaminants add-on. We’ll check before we start.

Do you serve Stateline and Meyers?

Yes. Both are part of our South Lake Tahoe service area.
